Tehmus Mistry
|
President |
Tehmus Mistry was a founder member of ZANZ and has intermittently served on the committee since its inception in 1996. Tehmus wants ZANZ to carry on doing what it was originally established for, which is to promote Zoroastrian values, maintain the cultural identity and make cultural contribution in the multicultural environment here in New Zealand. He is particularly interested in ensuring equality of rights and treatment for all Zoroastrians here in New Zealand. |
Godrej Engineer
|
Vice President |
Godrej Engineer was the first Vice-President of ZANZ since it's inception in 1996. He has served on the committee on a couple of occasions. As an educationalist he is interested in building a sense of pride and belonging amongst the very young Zarathushtrians here in New Zealand. He facilitates cultural and religious classes for this age group. Godrej has directed plays for the young and the older members of the community under the auspicies of ZANZ. He has lectured on a number of occasions on religious and cultural matters.

Faranak Kabir
|
Joint Secretary | My aim and ambition is to bring up our Zoroastrian community to it's old glory through ZANZ. I would like to offer my skills to promote and support our community in New Zealand. |
Hosheder Pithawalla | Joint Secretary |
I am Hosheder Pithawalla (Hoshi). I volunteered to be part of the ZANZ committee as I enjoy contributing to our Parsee community. When I arrived in New Zealand I was given a lot of support and guidance by a few Parsee friends; I wanted to reciprocate and decided to be a part of ZANZ committee to support our Parsee community. I'm also on community patrol for the neighbourhood and try my best to give back to the community as and when possible. I'm bus driver by profession which is yet another role I play to service the larger Auckland community. My hobbies are cooking and DIY projects. Look forward to meeting more members of our community at ZANZ gatherings. I truly believe, in the importance of supporting each other, working together and sharing ideas to strengthen our small community of Zoroastrians in Auckland, and in New Zealand. |
