We started with The tea / coffee session. We then moved on to playing housie games which our seniors are sentimentally attached to and all winners were given away chocolates.

We also made them introduce themselves as there were many new comers.

Finally it was that time of the day when we wanted to celebrate the birthday of our seniors. We celebrated birthdays of Mrs. Katy Fitter, Mrs. Zarine Khambatta, Ms. Mani Mowji, Mr. Minoo Panveliwalla, Mr. Darayas Vevaina & Mr. Tehmurasp Vazifdar.

Our next senior's session will be held on 15th March which will be held at the same venue with Movie and Lunch from 10am to 3pm.

It was the time to celebrate Navroze with a bang.

Our seniors met each other and wish everyone a Happy Navroze (in advance) and settled down to have light snacks served with hot tea / coffee. We all watched a bollywood movie "Shamitabh". Our seniors enjoyed the movie.

After the movie we started the lunch which was sponsored by Maharukh & Hoshi Katki. Started with beer and chips, delicious dhun-dal, butter chicken, mutter paneer and ice cream was on menu.

We celebrated the birthdays of Ms. Godafrine Billiardmaker & Ms. Silloo Taraporewalla.

The session cannot end without a game of housie, we closed around 3pm.

Our volunteers picked up the seniors from their home at around 9:30 a.m. We started the day with tea / coffee, chips and chewda.

This was followed by the "in demand" event HOUSIE. Our seniors love to play this game and are all Smiles when they win the game and get chocolates.

The seniors were then served delicious fish curry rice, chicken potatoe gravy and kachumber. Vegetarians were served potato curry rice & veg. korma.

The desert was cookies & cream ice cream. Sincere thanks to Khushnuma and Rumy Balsara for sponsoring this lunch.

This month we celebrated the birthdays of Mrs. Khorshed Sethna, Mrs. Arnavaz Irani & Ms. Perviz Mogrelia.

Our Fourth Senior Citizens Coffee Group session for 2015 was held at Howick Recreation Centre from 10:00am to 12noon on 17^th of May.

Twenty-four seniors graced the event.

Even though the weather was not favourable, the seniors were more than happy to come & have a chat with others. The morning began with a round tea served with garma-garam batata vada, sev & dahi. This was a treat by our Perin Daruwalla & Mana Vazifdar.

After the snacks we started the “ever in demand” games of housie.

We celebrated the birthdays of Ms.Perin Daruwalla, Ms. Mana Vazifdar & Ms. Nargish Tata.

Our volunteers for the day were Minoo Siganporia & Anaheeta Sethna.

Twenty Eight Seniors attended this Coffee Group event.

Seniors had jolly time meeting each other with Sahebji, Hello, Kem cheo and also had gupsup with all their friends. The morning began with a round chai and coffee which our special Chaiwalli Chef, Anaheeta Sethna made with love, concoction and warmth. Biscuits, wafers and yummy chicken and vegetarian samosas were served as snacks, which were kindly sponsored by Thrity Mistry (our regular senior attendee) and her lovely family.

After gupsup and snacks, the “ever in demand” aprih wallih Game of Housie was played twice with chocolates as prizes, sponsored by Jarafshan and Tehmus Mistry.

This July session we celebrated birthdays of Minoo Daruwalla, Katy Irani, Thrity Misty and Maharukh Lavangia. There were two yummy cakes which were kindly made by Jarafshan and Tehmus and another by Anahita Daruwalla.

Our volunteers for the day were Anaheeta Sethna, Merzi Daruwalla and Minoo Siganporia.

31 aprah wallah seniors attended this Coffee Group event which was family sponsored luncheon.

Seniors enjoyed each others’ companionship and socialising. Loads of gupsup exchanging with all their friends with dukh sukh ni kahaani. The morning began with savaar ni chai and coffee which our special Chaiwalli Chef, Anaheeta Sethna made with her love, concoction and warmth. Sev and dahi were served as Parsi Navroze Mubarak treat.

After gupsup and sev dahi, the Seniors neh wallih Game of Housie was played with chocolates as prizes.

Then Mehta family sponsored Lunch was served...... Garam garam .......Margi papeto gravy and Ghosh gravy with pau, Macchi na Curry Chaval and two type of kachumbar and for Vegans was Paneer Masala and Vegetable Curry Chaval with kachumbar. This was followed by sweet dish.

August birthdays of Shirin Balsara, Perviz Daruwalla and Godrej Engineer were celebrated by cutting the cake. Homai Elavia missed the cake cutting ceremony as she is in Melbourne.

19 aprah wallah seniors attended this Coffee Group event which was family sponsored.  It was aprih Queen’s style High Tea of yummy Chicken and Vegetable Samosas, Medu Vadas and Chutney.

Seniors enjoyed each others’ companionship and socialising.  Loads of gupsup exchanging with all their friends with dukh sukh ni vaat chit. The morning began with savaar ni chai and coffee which our special Chaiwalli Chef, Anaheeta Sethna made with her love, concoction and warmth. 

After High Tea, the Game of Housie was played with chocolates as prizes.

September birthday girl was Zemina Iraniwho brought a cake and cut it too.

30 aprah wallah seniors attended this Coffee Group event which was family sponsored. It was Luncheon with Chicken drumsticks and Butter Paneer with Kachumbar. Alphonso Mango drink was served as drinks and Lagan nu Custard as dessert.

Seniors enjoyed each others’ companionship and socialising. Loads of gupsup exchanging with all their friends with dukh sukh ni vaat chit. The morning began with savaar ni chai and coffee with snacks.

After sarvaar ni chai and coffee, the Game of Housie was played with chocolates as prizes.

October birthdays was celebrated by cutting the cake and eating it too.

27 aprah wallah seniors attended this Coffee Group event which was sponsored by Kabir Family. It was Luncheon with green Diwali theme. So, Green Kolmi nah Curry Chaval with Kachumbar was served for lunch and Paneer Green Curry Chaval for the Vegetarians. Soft drinks were served and Gajjar noh Halvo for dessert.

Seniors enjoyed each others’ companionship and socialising. Loads of gupsup exchanging with all their friends with dukh sukh ni vaat chit. The morning began with savaar ni chai and coffee which our special Chaiwalli Chef, Anaheeta Sethna made with her love, concoction and warmth.
After sarvaar ni chai and coffee, aprah walla o eh ZANZ Parsi Nataak, “Made in India” performed in 1999 was viewed and thoroughly enjoyed.
After luncheon, the Game of Housie was played with dhamaal and chocolates were distributed as prizes.

November birthdays was celebrated by cutting the cake and eating it too.

20 aprah wallah seniors attended this Christmas Party event which was sponsored by six anonymous Well-wishers and Volunteers, our sincere thanks to all of them. It was all you can eat Punjabi Buffet with Cholleh Batura, Papeta, Parathas (Gobi, Mullih and Papetta), Achar, Raita was served for lunch and Ravo for dessert.

Seniors were transported from their houses by Volunteers and then met at Highland Park to reshuffle and transported to PepperBoard Restaurant, Papakura, instead of Hungry Hopes, Beachlands which was double booked.

Seniors thoroughly enjoyed each others’ company and socialising whilst driving towards the venue and listening to HUM FM Music on radio.

After reaching the venue, everybody were treated with nice garam masala chai. After sarvaar ni chai, aprah walla played games like Snakes & Ladders and two Housie Games which they all thoroughly enjoyed with majja and masti from Rohinton Fitter and chocolates were distributed as prizes.

After all you can eat luncheon, Santa’s gifts were distributed in a goodie bag with Homemade Chocolates and Chritmassy Item (blinking Snowman or Santa) and photos were clicked with props and Marindar, PepperBoard Lady who was their Ms. Claus !!

December birthdays was celebrated by cutting yummy big Chocolate Mudcake and eating it too.
